Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Inventory Lead Hand assists in day-to-day receiving and inventory operations including the cycle count program, secondary operations (kitting), inventory allocation and placement.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in a warehousing/inventory role.
  • Experience working with inventory management software.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective storage and distribution of materials.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES – INVENTORY CONTROL/RECEIVING

  • Assist and maintain cycle counting program. Investigate and resolve all reported inventory discrepancies. Log and report variances daily.
  • Monitor accuracy of all inventory transactions and maintain records of all stock locations.
  • Perform location consolidation and reconciliation actions daily.
  • Assist in segregating all quarantine items as directed by QA or Operations Management team.
  • Assist the receiving function as required, ensuring receipts are completed as per company standards.Responsibilities – Sorting & Kitting
  • Collaborate with Operations Management, Purchasing, and Orders teams regarding secondary operation requirements (kitting, packing, sorting) to ensure optimum inventory levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES – GENERAL

  • Assist in development of procedures and training processes in conjunction with the Operations Manager and Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Other duties as requested by Warehouse Supervisor or Operations Manager.
