Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Inventory Officer will be responsible for managing and controlling the pharmacy’s inventory, including receiving, storing, and issuing stock. The successful candidate will ensure that the pharmacy maintains accurate inventory levels, minimizes stock-outs and overstocking, and complies with relevant laws and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma or degree in Pharmacy, Business, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
- Proficient in inventory management software, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with pharmacy operations, including dispensing and inventory management.

Responsibilities:
- Receive, store, and issue stock, including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and other retail products.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, including conducting regular stock takes and investigating discrepancies.
- Order stock from suppliers, including pharmaceutical wholesalers and manufacturers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including the Pharmacy Act and the Medicines Act.
- Provide regular inventory reports to the Pharmacy Manager, including stock levels, sales data, and inventory turnover.
- Assist the pharmacy team with inventory-related tasks, including receiving and storing stock.
