Description:
We are in search of an Inventory Specialist to join our team. The primary function of this role will encompass maintaining inventory records and ensuring the accuracy of these records. This role will involve a mix of tasks on the shop floor and desk tasks, requiring the successful candidate to be proficient in both practical and administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain inventory records to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory levels and identify any discrepancies
- Analyze inventory data and report any variances to the relevant parties
- Utilize inventory control measures to prevent discrepancies in inventory and keep a track of all items
- Provide support for accounting functions related to inventory
- Operating a forklift for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, packing, and counting merchandise
- Use strong communication skills to handle any inventory-related inquiries and issues
- Implement inventory audits to ensure correct accounting and reporting of inventory
- Analyze inventory cycles for efficiency and make necessary adjustments
- Utilize inventory accounting skills to maintain accurate financial records.
- Proficient in accounting functions
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with inventory accounting is a must
- Experience in conducting inventory audits
- Ability to perform inventory analysis
- Knowledge of inventory controls and their implementation
- Familiarity with inventory cycles and their management
