INVENTORY SPECIALIST

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Previous experience in inventory planning or related roles, with a focus on inventory management.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting, Microsoft PowerPoint for creating presentations, and Microsoft Outlook for communication and scheduling.
  • Inventory Management Experience: Strong understanding of inventory control principles, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization strategies.
  • ERP System Experience: Experience with using ERP systems for inventory management, transactions, and reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, trends, and consumption patterns to make informed inventory decisions.
  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking and analysis.
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address inventory-related challenges.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and across departments.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Reporting: Create and provide monthly inventory reports to stores and management team.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data and provide opportunities for improvement through inventory reduction.
  • Procurement: Generate daily stores reorder report and place approved orders. Backup for warehouse purchasing.
  • ERP System Maintenance: Systematic review of stores ERP data to ensure accuracy.
  • Warranty Coordination: Liaison between stores and warehouse on warranty issues.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with internal teams, stores, suppliers and management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve inventory management processes, streamline operations, and reduce costs.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including item descriptions, quantities, and locations.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively address inventory discrepancies and help to identify root causes and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and logistics, to optimize inventory processes and meet operational goals.
