Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of inventory management processes and will be responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels to support seamless operations. This role involves managing inventory, conducting regular audits, and implementing effective inventory control measures to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to utilize inventory management software proficiently. The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying discrepancies, preparing detailed reports, and providing insights to improve inventory accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· A post-secondary education in business, logistics, supply chain management or related field.
· Minimum 5 years of experience as an inventory specialist or in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
· Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices such as JIT, safety stock, reorder points, and first-in, first-out.
· Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and recommend solutions.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and suppliers.
· Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
