Description:
BACKGROUND
The Mintz Group is seeking an inquisitive, detail-oriented and highly motivated investigator for its intellectual property team in Worthing. As an investigator, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on trade marks, companies and individuals across the world to help clients uncover intellectual property infringements, branding risks and threats to clients’ businesses. You will join a team of bright, curious and collaborative investigators who speak more than 30 languages in our offices across the world.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research into trademarks, businesses, individuals and electronic assets throughout the world to assist clients in branding and litigation decisions;
- Dig into public records and data repositories, from trade mark, corporate and press records, to complex litigation records and SEC filings;
- Through telephone and other interviewing methods, elicit sensitive information from targets;
- Analyse and distil findings into written reports which must be comprehensive, unambiguous and of the highest professional standard as they are subject to the close scrutiny by clients and may also be used as evidence in court;
- Brief case managers and partners on findings in a clear and professional manner;
- Possibly conduct other types of investigations, such as anonymous acquisitions of IP assets and site visits to survey goods on the market.
