Description:

Katapult Ocean is looking for a commercially minded, motivated and impact driven investment professional with passion for the ocean, impact investments and innovation.
The investment professional will support all aspects of the investment team’s work, including contribution to the investment process, portfolio management, fundraising processes and work closely with portfolio companies during our annual accelerator program.

Activities you can expect:

  • Screening and analyzing companies
  • Commercial due diligence and founder interviews
  • Preparation and presentation of investment recommendations to Investment Committee
  • Market analysis to identify trends and validate product, business models and scale opportunities
  • Hands-on work with companies during and post accelerator program
  • Portfolio management – reporting, support, follow-up
  • Legal Due Diligence process management

  • Reporting towards investors, information gathering- impact and commercial

  • Investor relations, fundraising support, KYC

The ideal candidate has a keen interest in sustainable investments, innovation, company building and ocean-technologies. You thrive within a collaborative and nimble investment team, contributing at all parts of our business with a high level of autonomy. You enjoy building relationships with other investors, market experts and our fund investors.
We expect a strong communication skillset in English and strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint in particular). The right candidate is a self-starter, proactive and can identify strongly with Katapult Ocean’s mission.
We require a higher education with strong academic results. Early-stage company experience, relevant international investment experience and/or industry experience is preferred (2-4 years exp.). The related track record is expected to be successful.
