  • Month 1 - 6: $79,534 per annum
  • Month 7: $50,000 per annum (IPC compensation program)
    We’re currently looking for an Investment and Planning Consultant in our Wealth team.

REQUIREMENTS

To qualify, you’ll need at least the following:

  • Minimum 5 years of financial advisory sales experience as well as thorough knowledge of financial planning, products, policies, procedures and operations.
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Investment Funds In Canada (IFIC)
  • MFDA License

Responsibilities:

  • Uncover the full financial needs of the members, provide solutions and/or refer these to the appropriate Advisor
  • Support and/or facilitate the financial planning experience for the members
  • Be proactive in pursuing external/internal business opportunities by: retention of existing member base and actively soliciting new business, reviewing marketing data to determine new market potential, and leveraging opportunities with existing members through in branch/telephone communication
  • Establish and implement a sales plan that focuses on retaining and attracting new members with mid/high net worth, developing internal referral sources, centers of influence, improving profitability with existing members and developing business from existing members
  • Identify staff developmental opportunities and provide effective coaching and technical training.
  • Provide coaching & mentoring to assist members of the team with skill development
  • Ensure all corporate policies, procedures and guidelines are adhered to including compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements to mitigate the risk of loss to the Credit Union and member
