  • 2-3 years’ relevant work experience in a corporate finance related role
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, programming languages are a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyse complex financial and technical data
  • Comprehensive understanding of M&A and Licensing processes
  • Experience in building financial models, particularly in DCF valuations
  • Basic understanding of pharmaceutical industry, with a willingness to develop in-depth expertise
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in business English, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels and from different cultural backgrounds

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a versatile, detail-oriented individual to join our investments team, focusing on driving the decision-making process for M&A and licensing, in addition to organic growth opportunities. You will most likely be a corporate finance professional with 2+ years of experience and highly skilled in financial modelling – advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather insights and assumptions, and the creation of comprehensive investment papers that evaluate value and potential risks.
You will play a critical role in executing Pharmanovia’s lifecycle management strategy, driving investment decisions across various areas, including digital therapeutics, new product development, and commercial and operational enhancements. You will leverage datasets such as IQVIA and Global Data to assess market landscapes and build reliable forecasts through a structured, analytical approach. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be responsible for presenting complex financial models and market analyses to senior stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, helping to inform strategic decision-making.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Utilise strong understanding of corporate finance to advise on deal structuring and other financial matters
  • Utilise a strong understanding of Pharmanovia’s key therapeutic areas to outline impact of new product additions to broader portfolio. Quickly learn and understand the pharmaceutical setting associated with different opportunities, leveraging insight to structure modelling methodology
  • Utilised advanced proficiency in MS Excel to build and maintain bespoke financial models and valuation analyses, including DCFs, LBOs, and precedent transactions for M&A, licensing, and organic growth opportunities. Supervise junior team members in the building of models and review final output
  • Utilise advanced proficiency in MS PowerPoint to structure and create key investment materials, including board papers, integration plans, pitch decks, and other supporting documents. Lead conversations with senior stakeholders to identify objectives and requirements
  • Lead cross-functional discussions to refine modelling assumptions across various areas such as epidemiology/market share modelling, pricing and reimbursement, regulatory, product development, clinical, commercial, and operations
  • Lead financial, operational, and commercial due diligence processes, working with internal subject matter experts to identify & incorporate key risks into valuation methodology. Work with senior stakeholders to devise risk mitigation strategies
  • Utilise databases like IQVIA and Global Data to drive commercial analysis and gain a deeper understanding of market dynamics and landscape
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders to inform and guide strategic decision-making. Coordinate processes involving broad participation and several interactions to achieve longer term objectives
  • Act as key liaison for projects on behalf of the investments team. Independently collaborate with senior stakeholders to define workstreams and timelines
