Description:
As an Investment Banking Analyst on National Bank’s Global Mining & Metals team, you play a lead role in supporting the team’s deal execution and pitch activity. You participate in a wide variety of transactions led by senior members of the team and gain exposure to experienced senior bankers and key leaders while deepening your knowledge of the investment banking industry.
This role provides ample opportunity for career growth, as well as opportunities to collaborate with National Bank’s other Financial Markets business lines to help deepen your capital markets knowledge, including Equity Capital Markets, Credit Capital Markets, and Fixed Income, among others.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or mining engineering (expected graduation in spring or summer 2025 is acceptable)
- To be considered for an experienced Investment Banking Analyst role, minimum of one year of applicable investment banking, M&A, equity research, advisory or transaction services work experience
- Superior analytical abilities
- Robust quantitative skills focused on financial analysis, accounting and financial theory
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to balance competing priorities, timelines and requests while maintaining a high standard of work
- Hard-working, enthusiastic and collaborative with the ability to thrive as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships
- High professional standards including a strong sense of personal integrity and teamwork
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint), Capital IQ and Bloomberg
