Description:

J.P. Morgan’s Consumer & Retail Investment Banking team provides a full range of investment banking services to numerous clients across the EMEA region. Our clients include many of the world’s leading firms in their respective industries. The Group’s primary focus is on delivering creative solutions to clients across the full Investment Banking product spectrum, including mergers & acquisitions as well as equity and debt capital raisings.
As an Investment Banking Analyst / Associate within the EMEA Consumer & Retail team, you will play a crucial role in the origination and execution of investment banking mandates across all major product areas. Under the guidance of senior team leaders, you will manage client transactions from pitch to close, prepare detailed valuation analyses, models and presentations, and devise innovative and creative solutions to complex, real-world business challenges.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS
- Relevant prior experience in investment banking and / or corporate finance
- Demonstrated interest in the Consumer & Retail industries
- Commitment to building a long-term career in investment banking
- Proven financial modelling / valuation skills and experience in working on corporate finance related topics
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- High level of work ethic and comfort with working in a team environment
- High level of attention to detail, time management skills and proactiveness

Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed valuation analyses, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables and LBO analyses
- Support daily transaction execution and project management of clients
- Prepare marketing materials, management presentations, board materials, and other deliverables for use in corporate finance transactions or strategic client dialogue
- Perform detailed M&A, transaction structuring, and other financial analyses
- Coordinate with other product teams (M&A, ECM, DCM, Leveraged Finance) and third-parties (lawyers, accountants, etc.)
