This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work in a dynamic team and to contribute to our Investment Banking business.
The Corporate Advisory group is committed to helping the bank’s clients achieve their long-term strategic gaols through the delivery of holistic advance, M&A and capital markets solutions and targeted capital deployments. Corporate Advisory consolidates M&A structuring, Corporate Finance and Ratings Advisory, Infrastructure Advisory, Center for Carbon Transition and ESG Solutions into one global organisation.
Our Ratings Advisory team, which is a key differentiator with clients, provides structuring, ratings and capital structure advisory. The team is involved in most major leveraged finance, capital markets and M&A transactions, partnering with other groups across the bank (Leverage Finance, DCM, IFA, ECM, M&A and industry teams). Typical projects may involve capital structure advice, obtaining a first-time rating, providing continuous advice on ratings/positioning and impact analysis of transformational M&A transactions.
The team offers an unrivalled combination of rating agency knowledge, industry expertise, and a strong track record of very successful rating and capital structure advisory assignments across corporate sectors. It provides comprehensive capital structure and ratings solutions and functions as a central platform for all product and industry teams within Investment Banking and has advised more than 100 companies on their first-time rating in the last 5 years. The team’s client base includes businesses in all industries and through all stages of their life cycle, from private equity-owned issuers to major blue-chip corporates.
As an Analyst in the Investment Banking EMEA Corporate Finance & Ratings Advisory team, you will assist with all client activities including marketing, execution and on-going relationship management. You will work with expert professionals at the heart of a leading global investment bank and will get exposure to formal training, hands-on learning opportunities, continuous mentoring and feedback, and numerous development opportunities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Experience working in investment banking
  • Excellent MS Office skills, specifically Excel based modelling and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial models to support pitching and deal execution
  • Assist in preparing pitch books and marketing materials for client meetings
  • Be involved in and support the execution of funding and capital raising transactions for EMEA clients
  • Assist in managing ongoing client relationships
  • Manage internal and external processes for deal pitching and executions
  • Work closely with all IBC origination functions including M&A, DCM, IFA, ALF and ECM teams
  • Interact with rating agencies on behalf of clients for deal executions
