This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work in a dynamic team and to contribute to our Investment Banking business.
The J.P. Morgan EMEA Real Estate business has a leading position in the sector in terms of number of clients, transaction activity and revenue market share and is looking for an Analyst to join the team.
The J.P. Morgan EMEA Real Estate team is responsible for origination and execution of public and private M&A and capital markets transactions involving corporate and financial sponsor clients in the broad Real Estate sector. The team has a network of relationships with some of the most prominent Real Estate companies in the EMEA region.
As an Analyst in the Investment Banking EMEA Real Estate team, you will be a key player in our business strategy and execution. You will participate in the “full cycle” of transactional execution including preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, preparing and presenting internal committee memoranda and client presentations. You will play a leadership role in implementing the execution function including working with analysts and associates, as well as assisting more senior bankers. You will also have plenty of opportunities to partner with other bankers from the group as well as colleagues from other industry and product teams across EMEA and globally. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Experience in an Investment Bank either in an industry group or M&A team
  • Proficient financial modelling / valuation / analytical / numeracy skills
  • Ability to react well to pressure whilst multitasking on numerous projects
  • Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner
  • High level of attention to detail, proactivity and time management
  • Comfort in and commitment to an inclusive teamwork environment
  • Ability to comfortably interact with people in a professional and mature manner
  • Highly organised, detail oriented and proactive
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Previous Real Estate experience preferred
    This role encompasses the performance of regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Project co-ordination, including client communication, co-ordination of advisory team externally and within the bank
  • Develop content for strategic meetings with clients regarding M&A or capital market transactions
  • Conduct detailed valuation analysis and other financial analysis, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, LBO analysis and transaction structuring analysis
  • Prepare presentation books, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other presentation materials for use in corporate finance transactions or strategic client dialogue
  • Conduct daily deal execution and project management and take leadership in supporting client coverage
  • Interact with senior team members and client management teams on a daily basis to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives
  • Support investor dialogue in relevant transactions
  • Liaise with J.P. Morgan product teams and global sector teams
