JOB DESCRIPTION

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work in a dynamic team and to contribute to our Investment Banking business.
The EMEA Financial Institutions Group (FIG) is responsible for the origination and execution of public and private M&A and capital markets transactions involving corporate, financial sponsor and government clients. We maintain pivotal relationships with many of the most prominent clients in the EMEA financial services industry and aid them, through M&A and capital markets transactions, in delivering on their corporate strategy and structure.
We cover origination and execution of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and capital markets transactions, as well as market top-tier corporate broking services across the FIG client base, together with colleagues from other product teams.
As an Investment Banking FIG Experienced Analyst within the FIG Insurance team, you will play a pivotal role in the origination and execution of investment banking mandates across all major product areas. Your responsibilities will include addressing client needs, contributing to the growth of J.P. Morgan’s franchise and reputation in the marketplace, and collaborating with various teams to develop client strategies. You will also be tasked with building detailed financial models, evaluating market data, and preparing client presentations. Under the guidance of senior team leaders, you will manage client transactions from pitch to close, prepare detailed valuation analyses, models and presentations, and devise innovative solutions to complex, real-world business challenges.

Job responsibilities

  • Complete large and complex valuation and analytical exercises
  • Support the preparation of presentation books, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other presentation materials for use in M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue
  • Execute Transaction: support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation etc. and liaising with relevant counterpart at the client/other advisers (accounting, legal, etc.)
  • Keep abreast of key market and regulatory developments and establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics
  • Provide training, coaching and mentoring of junior colleagues

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES

  • Investment banking experience with a focus on financial institutions and the Insurance sector
  • Proficient financial analysis and modelling skills
  • In-depth understanding of investment banking products
  • Experience in dealing with clients and other transactional advisers
  • Team player with solid communication and project management skills
  • Excellent technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint skills and ability to quickly learn new software applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Foreign language skills
