This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is motivated to work in a dynamic team and to contribute to our Investment Banking business.
J.P. Morgan’s Nordic M&A Team is part of the Nordics Investment Banking franchise and based in Stockholm. It has a sound reputation with an exemplary track record and is recognised by clients, other advisors and competitors as one of the leading franchises in the Nordic market.
As an Investment Banking Analyst / Associate in the Nordic M&A team, you will work on the origination and execution of M&A and broader corporate finance transactions, covering a variety of different industry sectors. You will play a critical role in implementing the execution function including working with analysts and associates, as well as assisting more senior bankers. You will develop exceptional function skills in the major areas of investment banking and will demonstrate the ability to become a senior officer who is capable of generating and executing your own transactions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Fluent in Nordic language skills
  • Relevant work experience at international investment bank (M&A, industry teams, Leverage Finance), consulting firm, private equity, Big 4, or similar
  • Proven academic background
  • Proficient financial analysis and modelling skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Solid communication and project management skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • For Associate position, M&A experience is highly preferred
  • In-depth understanding of investment banking products
  • Experience in dealing with clients and other transactional advisers
  • Proficient in MS office applications

Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex financial valuation, discounted cash flow and multiples-based research
  • Prepare presentation books, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other presentation materials for use in M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue
  • Execute transaction (M&A / equity capital markets / debt capital markets): support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation etc and liaising with relevant counterpart at the client/ other advisers (accounting, legal etc.)
  • Interact with senior team members and client management teams on a daily basis to execute transactions, discuss strategic alternatives and market condition
  • Engage with and maintain regular dialogue with clients and potential clients
  • Collaborate with J.P. Morgan industry and product teams
  • Provide mentorship and supervision of projects
