Investment Counsellors (IC) provide investment advice to the clients of the Private Bank. The client segment has a highly diverse client base in terms of the complexity of their needs and their previous investment experience. This will be an ideal role for an ambitious individual who wishes to develop their career in Investments with the view to becoming a Senior Investment Counsellor in the future.

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Partner with a Senior IC to ensure effective management of the wider client book
  • Advice encompasses both discretionary services available and advisory recommendations. Over time the role will be responsible for the positioning/delivery of investment solutions to clients and prospects of the HSBC Private Bank
  • Enhance client relationships and profitability both for the client and the business
  • Perform ongoing portfolio reviews to align client portfolios to their risk profile and investment objective

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Investment advisory experience within a regulated customer facing role in a Private Banking or Wealth Management context - essential
  • CISI Level 4 qualified (essential), Level 6 would be desirable
  • Working knowledge of the UK regulatory environment - essential
  • Ability to multi-task and render the needs of customers and internal stakeholders simultaneously
  • Collaborative with the ability to work as part of a team
    This role is based in Leeds.
