We are looking for an Intern to work in our Domestic and Offshore investment funds which deals with a variety of internal Vestima systems. The team is comprised of 5 primary functions where attention to detail and communication are key attributes and we work on the basis of high trust, high responsibility.
We work with a number of different units on a daily basis to ensure our Dividends and reinvestment services are processed efficiently.
Our aim as a team is to reduce risk and enhance our Clients experience and we do this by valuing accuracy and precision while maintaining enhanced Client relationships.

YOUR PROFILE

  • An interest in learning about the funds industry
  • Currently studying for a third level qualification in Business or Finance related area
  • Be risk aware and take all steps necessary to minimise errors
  • Proficient with MS Office Outlook, Excel, Access and Word
  • Proactive with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong problem solver with good analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities:

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

  • UK Dividends processing - Collect and process UK dividend information and notify customers. Release UK tax vouchers to customer while ensuring we are reconciled. The team is split between set up and execution of cash
  • CFF Dividend processing - Collect and process CFF dividend information and notify customers. Large interaction between the CFF and reinvestment teams. The team is split between set up and execution of cash
  • Domestic Dividend processing - This market focuses on the SWIFT STP and LMP markets (France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, UK and US). The two is split between set up and cash execution. There is a large amount of systems used to ensure we complete the dividends and process market claims/compensation in a timely manner
  • Reinvestment processing - The reinvestment team process subscriptions on a daily basis for our reinvestment customers based on the cash entitlement we receive on the DVCA events. High risk and complex area with high volumes of trading and reconciling on a daily basis
  • CATAX - Maintaining US client certifications for Vestima prime customers and issue tax returns to the IRS on a yearly basis. High level of interaction with GFO and Data management

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful Intern will be responsible for the following:

  • Instructing client orders in the market and monitoring until settlement, including chasing Transfer Agents for updates
  • Gathering and maintaining static data for funds, Clients and Transfer Agents
  • Interacting with internal departments, fund administrators and third parties as necessary
  • Ensuring that all client queries in the team are dealt with in a prompt & professional manner
  • Liaise with Transfer Agents and Clients to resolve complex cases
  • Ensure that information received from the market is accurately updated on our systems
  • Completing project work with other members of the team
