Description:
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
- Numeracy and attention to detail are key as is ability to meet deadlines and work well within a team.
- Strong analytical and communication skills (both oral & written).
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor’s Honours Degree in a relevant field.
- Strong interest in ESG and investing and a curious and proactive mindset.
- Familiarity with ESG.
- Previous experience in ESG, investment/ asset management is an advantage.
- Studying towards CFA’s Certificate in ESG Investing and CFA Program is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
ROLE PROFILE
We currently have an opening for an Investment Intern to join our ESG team. You will join the team on a 6 month Fixed Term contract starting in January 2025.
The ESG Team is part of the broad investment team and works closely with both the Multi-Management and Single Securities investment teams. The ESG Team interacts also with the parent company in an array of broad ESG projects and drives the ESG agenda for MIFL. Ultimately, the team oversees the implementation of MIFL’s Responsible Investment Policy and the firm’s ESG investment framework.
DUTIES
- Assist the ESG team with the preparation and presentation of ESG related presentations, both internally and externally.
- Assist with material preparation for ESG calls with Milan and internally.
- Support the ESG team in analysing, updating and preparing ESG reports for our funds.
- Track relevant ESG news and regulatory updates.
- Perform broad ESG research in current and relevant topics.
- Conduct active ESG engagement with third party investment managers.
- Prepare mailings to communicate with third party managers related to different matters.
- Help with the implementation of cluster munition and related restriction list.
- Assist the team in continuing to build a robust research and document process as it relates to ESG data.
- Create, edit and proofread reference materials such as Responsible Investment Policy and Med3 Investment Process.
- Assist the team to conduct periodic due diligence assessments of underlying strategies in MIFL’s sustainable investment fund range.
- Support the team in ad-hoc requests and projects.
