We are currently looking for a new member for the Investment Management team to join us in the position of Investment Management Analyst.
Working Place: Sonae Sierra’s Central Offices in Maia

REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate has up to 2 years of experience in real estate within an investment management company, real estate consultancy or broker, M&A and/or Big 4, keen on starting a career in real estate investment management. We look for an individual with:

  • Degree in Finance, Management or Economics, with excellent academic record
  • Familiarity with Financial Modelling
  • Interest and knowledge in the field of Real Estate
  • Proficient in English (mandatory)
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well in diverse teams in a fast-paced and stimulating environment
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm
  • Proactivity and energy
  • Desire to learn, improve and become a pro-active member of the team
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

You will quickly gain exposure to the entire investment cycle, including sourcing of opportunities, preliminary analysis, site visits, financial modelling, approvals from the management team, NBOs, due diligence, funding and structuring, legal documentation, closing, monitoring, add-on acquisitions and exit. You will work in a multinational environment, with very experienced professionals offering a unique angle to learn the key features of real estate investment management. The key responsibilities of the role are the following:

  • Support the analysis of investment proposals and new vehicles/funds/JVs, by way of research and data analysis to make informed recommendations to shareholders/investors;
  • Develop financial modelling and analysis of corporate/legal documents;
  • Fund raising, marketing initiatives, roadshows, KYC, investors’ relations, reporting and periodic meetings as well as drafting of related legal documentation;
  • Conduct due diligence and support the transaction process including interacting with external advisers and collaborating with joint venture partners;
  • Support in the management of investment vehicles, namely in terms of investor relations, operations, reporting, compliance and in the interaction with regulators/supervisory authorities, buy-side and sell-side activities;
  • Prepare business plans for assets under management, leveraging on financial and investment information, for the purpose of making buy/sell/hold recommendations for senior leadership;
  • Assist in valuation of assets under management.
