About the department
The Private Placements function is responsible for originating and managing non-publicly-traded (senior) debt investments. The function is also responsible for investments in a wide variety of private placement securities, including investment and non-investment grade securities.
Investments often involve structured and/or project finance transactions, and may include equity features or participations.
About the role
As the Investment Manager you will get the opportunity to support the origination and management of our growing Private Placement and Infrastructure business.
You will get to be a part of running several private credit mandates for key clients, mainly in the insurance and pensions arena, as well as internally managed funds and facilitating co-investments alongside large institutional investors.

  • Working with clients to discuss transactions, pipelines, outlook and performance of exiting investments
  • Managing transactions from concept through execution to completion and maintenance

About the candidate requirements

  • Experience within a bank, insurer or asset manager – ideally within a front-line credit investment role
  • Experience of business and financial analysis – preferably from a credit perspective
  • Proven ability to lead transactions through their full life cycle
  • Demonstrable experience in risk analysis and risk pricing
  • Experience across a range of asset classes, ideally corporate and infrastructure. Experience with project or concession finance would be of particular value
