Description:

My client, a leading developer in the wind and solar energy sector, is looking for an experienced and results-driven Investment Manager. This role will focus on structuring and securing financing for large-scale renewable energy projects, with a primary focus on wind and solar developments. Fluency in German is required, as the position involves significant interaction with local stakeholders, investors, and financial institutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Renewable Energy, or related fields; a Master’s degree or CFA qualification is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in investment management or project finance, ideally within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven track record of successfully structuring and closing complex financial transactions in wind or solar energy.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders, investors, and lenders.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory and market landscape for renewable energy projects in Germany and Europe is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the investment analysis, structuring, and execution of project finance deals for wind and solar energy projects.
  • Develop detailed financial models to evaluate project returns, risks, and investment opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with banks, institutional investors, and other financial partners to secure equity and debt financing.
  • Oversee the preparation of investment memoranda and presentations for internal committees and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments, coordinating with legal, technical, and environmental teams.
  • Negotiate financing terms and manage contractual agreements with financial institutions and investors.
  • Monitor the performance of the portfolio, providing recommendations to optimize financial returns and mitigate risks.
  • Work closely with the development team to align financial strategies with project development timelines.
  • Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and innovations in the renewable energy investment landscape.
