The Green Assets Divison’s goal is to create a significant, transparent, financially sound green assets portfolio - consisting of solar PV and onshore wind power plants -, resulting in positive shareholder return with reasonable risk profile via the deep understanding of the energy markets.
Job Description
- Lead acquisitions and divestitures of renewable energy assets (solar, wind, batteries), including deal structuring, valuation, and financial modeling.
- Drive negotiations with stakeholders to secure favorable terms, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance standards.
- Define project due diligence scope of work and budget, negotiate engagement letters with external advisors, and coordinate comprehensive due diligence process, collaborating with legal, technical, and financial teams to assess risks and opportunities.
- Conduct preliminary evaluations of potential investment opportunities, analyzing market trends, regulatory frameworks, and financial viability.
- Prepare approval proposals for internal decision boards, ensuring alignment with investment strategy and risk parameters.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key partners (e.g., developers, operators, advisors) to access and generate new investment opportunities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in investment management within the renewable energy sector with a proven track record in executing transactions.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills. Fluency in English is required, proficiency in Italian is strongly preferred.
- University degree in Economics / Business or Engineering.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, with in-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies and market dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex negotiations with various stakeholders.
- Experience in coordinating due diligence processes and managing cross-functional teams, including defining project due diligence scope and budgets.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Established network within the renewable energy sector, with the ability to cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key industry stakeholders.
- Availability to travel across Europe as necessary for the role between 10-20%.
