The role of the Investment Operations Analyst position is to ensure the core control framework is operating efficiently to minimise operational risk across the team’s processes. The position is responsible for preparing key controls, across the following processes: Fund performance reconciliation and reporting, regulatory requirements, and portfolio rebalancing.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Ongoing support of robust reconciliations for the monitoring and delivery of the rebalancing process to the Investment Team in accordance with required timeframes;
  • Maintain robust reconciliations for the monitoring and delivery of investment performance & attribution reporting services to the Investment Team and stakeholders in accordance with required timeframes;
  • Ongoing monitoring and implementation of regulatory requirements, policies, peer comparisons and member queries to ensure compliance;
  • Management and reporting of reconciliation issues identified and reporting impacts to the Manager, Performance & Data Analytics for resolutions;
  • Ongoing monitoring and reporting of key metrics including risk control framework across teams’ operational processes;
  • Ongoing enhancement, automate reconciliations and perform quality assurance testing on data visualisations to support and verify reporting models for accuracy; and
  • Analytical support, implementation and maintenance of R&D projects across teams’ processes, investment data management solution framework and key metrics for innovation and improvements

Using well-developed communications and engagement skills, the Analyst will work effectively in the team and with other teams to manage expectations and delivery timeframes. The Analyst will also build and maintain strong relationships to deliver key information to internal and external stakeholders.
With strong quality assurance mindset and attention to detail, the Analyst will vigilantly review the team’s reporting to ensure it is robust, timely and accurate. Equally, the Analyst will produce high quality outputs at a similar standard, together with accurate, logical, clear research and analysis so that clear results can be achieved.
