We are a professional organization representing over 13,500 teachers employed in PreK-12 schools across the province who are trusted and respected leaders and partners in education.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Investment Operations Analyst provides oversight and direction to the administrative, accounting and computer platforms for all investment functions. The analyst is also responsible for administering a performance measurement system to evaluate the effective utilization of assets.
Responsibilities include:
- Administration, development and implementation of efficient processes and workflows in support of the Federation’s changing investment model.
- Supervise custodial activities, including trade settlement, income collection, corporate actions, cash management & related account reconciliations.
- Design, develop and implement enhancements to the work unit’s information systems. Maintain knowledge of trends, developments and related computer technology in financial services industry to facilitate Investment Services’ advancement in this area.
- Monitor portfolio compliance with policy guidelines.
- Direct unit and fund valuations.
- Administer performance measurement at the asset class and fund level.
- Assist in the preparation of investment disclosure notes for financial statement purposes as required.
- Design and coordinate reporting to all stakeholders (e.g. Executive, Investment Committee, Pension and Benefit Board of Directors, etc.)
- Provide analysis and summaries of key investment measures and ad hoc studies.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers of financial services to obtain the lowest cost to the Federation, including the custodian, suppliers of performance measurement services and back office system providers.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the Federation’s vision, mission and values, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
