Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Private Capital (PPC) Investment Operations team is looking for a Senior Investment Operations Associate. This position involves loan funding for PPC’s Corporate Finance business and interacting extensively with internal and external business partners to assist in facilitating deal closings. With a strong attention to detail, the successful candidate will need to be able to review closing documentation for accuracy as well as maintain organization across data entry systems to effectively capture trade details.
Annually our London, Paris, Frankfurt, Madrid, and Milan investment teams close more than 2.5 billion (USD Equivalent) in private credit transactions. This activity is the focus of the lending activities supported by the Manager. In addition, globally PPC manages ~$100 billion of assets and the staff on this team will be accountable for certain cash control, and reconciliation efforts across the global portfolio.

What you can expect

  • Support wire and custody activity for the PPC Corporate Finance and Real Asset deal teams
  • Serve as a control point for the Settlements Unit
  • Partner effectively and efficiently with internal and external business partners, including Private Accounting, Deal Management, Internal and External Systems Teams, Corporate Banking, Third Party Clients, Asset Managers, and Pru Global Funding.
  • Participate in UAT and report findings for internal system releases (Wire Database, ULTRA, TITAN, GTreasury/Kyriba, Loan Connect/Omnia)
  • Wire Database - reviewing and processing wires generated from the Privates accounting system
  • Participated wires - derived from asset transfers; internal cash moves for incoming principal and interest.
  • Misdirected wires & overpayments - review wiring instructions and return funds in a timely manner
  • Expense Payments - ensure that the appropriate expense supplemental forms used for year-end tax reporting is completed correctly.
  • Foreign Currency Transactions
  • Wires - straights, fx conversions, comp claims, fx swaps
  • Daily cash matching of open payables/receivables and monitoring of bank account activity
  • Liaison between Deal Teams/Legal and Operations
  • Continuously seek to find process improvements to increase overall operational productivity and efficiency
  • Documentum / Records Retention - ensure requirements are met

What you will bring

  • Ideally you will have 2+ years experience in the banking and financial services industry
  • Bachelor undergraduate degree (all subjects areas considered)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Independent problem-solving skills
  • High level of self-motivation
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task during high volume periods
  • Strong PC skills, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel
