Location and flexible working: This role will be based in either our Midlands (Telford) or Edinburgh offices. Initially, this role will be working closely with our Telford-based Investment Operations teams, so we’ll need you to be able to travel to one of our Midlands offices occasionally, particularly while you’re learning the current fund structure and operational processes. We recognise the benefits of flexible working and will discuss what is important to you and balancing this with business requirements during the recruitment process.

EXPERIENCE (ESSENTIAL)
- Knowledge of unit-linked/with-profits fund administration processes (including unit pricing, unit matching & box management and trading) OR have a background in fund accounting
- You have experience working on process improvement projects and/or technical projects
- You’re comfortable translating complicated technical content for stakeholders at all levels
EXPERIENCE (DESIRABLE)
- You understand project artefact formats/contents, such as business readiness documents, and their purpose.
- Experience of working with outsourced service providers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Accounting or Investment Operations-related qualifications (desirable, not essential)
Responsibilities:
Our Investment Operations team are responsible for the administration of around 2,000 unit-linked and with-profits funds with over 9,000 pricing series linked to them. Our roles vary from oversight of fund accounting and unit pricing to maintenance of customer facing data for our funds.
We’re looking for someone with relevant experience and qualifications to join our team to support delivery of fund change across our unit-linked life and pension, and with-profits business. We’ll need you to help enhance existing processes so that they can be used to implement change at high volume whilst not impacting on daily pricing and trading processes.
You’ll need to be able to build on your existing investment operations experience to quickly become confident in how we administer our funds each day and the steps we need to follow to implement changes safely – we’ll make sure you’re fully supported on this. You’ll be working as part of a small team to scale and adjust internal processes, liaise with outsource providers, help coordinate activity across multiple internal and external parties, and implement changes to our funds safely
The nature of this role means that you’ll need to be comfortable working with other areas of the business and challenging proposals/decisions to ensure we deliver the right outcomes for customers and align to long-term strategic objectives of the business.
