We are looking for: a full-time Finance Analyst to join Diageo’s seven-member Investor Relations (IR) team. This position contributes to Diageo’s success by assisting with providing accurate and timely financial information to external stakeholders. This role will require a deep understanding of financial analysis, accounting principles, and investment strategies.

strategy, growth opportunities, financial performance and business initiatives in a way that creates
clarity, consistency and widespread understanding among investors and analysts in support of
achieving a fair relative stock value.

Responsibilities: as a Finance Analyst in Investor Relations, you will…

  • Research, analyse and distil Diageo’s business and financial information and results.
  • Develop corporate financial disclosures, including twice-yearly results, biennial Capital Markets Day, regional president’s calls, investor conferences and site visits and IR website.
  • Collaborate across multiple functional areas in the company, including Finance, Business Units, Legal and Corporate Relations, to ensure external financial messages effectively articulate a comprehensive and credible investment proposition.
  • Be responsible for in-depth review and analysis of sell-side analysts’ financial models, ensuring the company’s publicly disclosed information is accurately portrayed.
  • Monitor, evaluate and compile news and financial information on sector peers and partners for competitive analysis and intelligence. Disseminate this information along with commentary and insight from the investment community to senior leadership as appropriate.
  • Support ongoing engagement of Society 2030, Diageo’s ten-year action plan to help create an inclusive and sustainable world, with the investment community.
  • Contribute to developing and executing campaigns to target appropriate prospective institutional investors to broaden investor awareness and interest through conferences, presentations, meetings, and web content.

Requirements: we’d love to hear from individuals who have experience, knowledge and/or skills in:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, investor relations, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
