Description:

The post holder will : - Promote and develop cocreation with service users and carers in service planning, service improvement, transformation and governance and delivery throughout Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust (the Trust) Be involved in the development of services in the Trust, promoting innovative and creative ways of working with service users and carers. Advocate for cocreation and partnership working. Assist in the establishment and maintenance of effective working relationships between staff working within the Trust and service users and carers.
Support clinical staff to gain a deeper and more meaningful insight into the needs of service users and carers and to promote cocreation throughout the Trust. Act as a resource for service users, carers and staff in maintenance, commissioning, planning, improving and development of future services. Provide emotional support and practical training for service users and carers to support them to thrive as involvement members and get involved in various cocreation activities. Build relationships with the central involvement team and the locality participation leads and external VCS organisations to support cocreation across the system.
Promote at all times a positive image of people with mental health conditions and learning disabilities. Challenge discrimination towards this group of people. Promote at all times a positive image of the Corporate Affairs and Involvement department and the wider Trust. Assist service users and carers through their involvement activities when there is a need to voice potential challenge the Trust
