The Role
Inzpire’s award-winning Mission Systems Division delivers some of the world’s most advanced aviation IT systems from our office in Lincoln. As a result of our continued success and business expansion we are delighted to offer an opportunity for a Junior Functional Safety Engineer to join our award-winning team to support the on-going development of our bespoke mission systems.
Working directly for the Safety and Security Technical Authority, the main duties of the role will include:
Conducting safety analysis on Company-designed mission support systems, including Mission Planning Systems and tablet-based obstacle warning, navigation and EFB products.
Producing GECO System Hazard Analysis Reports.
Producing GECO System Safety Assessment Reports.
Maintaining the GECO System Hazard Log and producing GECO System Hazard Log Reports.
Supporting the on-going maintenance, control and configuration management of all documentation and records relating to Mission Systems’ Safety Management System.
The Person
You have a desire to follow a career in safety-critical systems engineering and are motivated by the challenge of analysing complex systems to identify and control safety risk.
As a member of a small highly skilled, multi-disciplined team the responsibilities of the role are necessarily broad and varied and you should be prepared to undertake a comprehensive range of activities that may, at times, fall outside of your specialist field.
