Responsibilities:
ROLE MISSION
The role of the IOT Integration & Digital Execution Engineer at Schneider Electric is to ensure the seamless integration and execution of Digital Offers. The engineer will play a vital role in supporting the setup and execution phases of complex solutions and providing troubleshooting assistance to customers and the Customer Service Hub (CSH).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform installed base surveys and collect necessary information to provision the required Digital platform.
- Coordinate with other SE Field Services Engineers, subcontractors, and customer’s staff to commission the IT/IOT portion of digital services.
- Proceed to end to end testing and validation to ensure successful connection.
- Liaise with the Service Bureau to ensure efficient provisioning and operations.
- Support tendering teams for the setup of complex solutions.
- Review customer electrical distribution network to identify critical assets for condition monitoring.
- Identify existing Scada, BMS, or monitoring systems in place with the customer.
- Define the architecture and select appropriate devices (gateways, communication agents) for efficient data retrieval from assets.
- Support Project Managers and Business Development Managers as the high level technical lead interface with customers, including discussions with C-level stakeholders.
- Ensure the accurate interface between customer functional needs and the technical capabilities of services.
- Support customer projects on all connectivity matters, including cybersecurity and analytics.
- Identify areas for asset management value proposition enhancement through broadened services or increased asset coverage.
Qualifications:
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL FOR THIS ROLE?
- Technical Skills:
- CAD or systems design experience (using Visio is a plus)
- Understanding of basic networking and communications
- Other:
- Electrical awareness
- Electrical Engineering degree is not required
- Ireland driving licence
