Description:
WHO YOU ARE
- Proven experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects, and in managing international, cross-functional teams in a Business to Business, high pressure environments
- Strong history of successful programme management of complex solutions in the high-tech or telecommunication area
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
- Experience in change management and driving transformation
- Strong communication and decision-making skills – ability to balance conflicting interests
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to engage and motivate others.
- Experience in establishing structure and governance within an organization.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

The Vodafone Internet of Things (IoT) suite of products and services are designed specifically to meet the needs of new and evolving business verticals. Its connection base has grown 20 % per YoY to reach more than 189 million connections, and Vodafone IoT has been rated a leader in the IoT Connectivity Gartner Magic quadrant and has been for 10 consecutive years. Vodafone are also in the process of carving out and separating the IoT Connectivity business within Vodafone Group, to secure additional partnerships and maintain our leading position in the industry.
The IoT Programme Manager will work directly for the Business Manager for the CEO of IoT and will be responsible for the management of cross functional programmes which are key to delivering on Vodafone IoT’s strategy as it becomes a standalone Business. This role will shape and own the delivery of a variety of large-scale innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the IoT Business, with the goal of successful handover into business-as-usual operations once complete. Managing global stakeholders internally and externally, on all organisational levels, this role will deliver a number of critical programmes in order to set the IoT Business up to deliver on its strategic imperatives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Operate at a strategic level, to establish and manage; budgets, deliverables, milestones and timescales for the programme to ensure all contractual obligations are met & programme benefits are measured
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation to support and track milestone delivery, dependencies and timeframes – proactively drive problem & issue resolution, ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Provide executive programme reports to key stakeholders, execute programme governance and chair both operational and strategic programme review boards
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners and internal stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues and challenges.
