Ngāi Tahu Farming is looking for a dedicated and hands-on Irrigation & Maintenance Assistant to join our team.

You’ll be working across Te Whenua Hou and Hika-Waikura farms, supporting the upkeep of over (72) center pivot irrigators. This is a key role where you’ll be responsible for ensuring our irrigation systems are running smoothly throughout the year. You will perform regular maintenance and repairs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the efficient use of water resources to support our sustainable farming practices.
In addition to irrigation duties, you’ll also take on general farm maintenance, helping with repairs to fences, buildings, and equipment to keep operations running seamlessly. The role requires someone who is practical, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic farming environment. You’ll be working closely with our Irrigation Specialist and Farm Managers to ensure infrastructure and assets are well-maintained, and that any issues are dealt with promptly to minimise disruption to farm operations.
