We are on the lookout for an IS Tester to join our team to work with the European Institutions, it’s a near-site position (up to 200km away from the client’s premises) in Brussels

DG GROW B3 in partnership with other Commission services and stakeholders, provides high quality corporate solutions/information systems for the Policy Units in GROW, but also to Member States, enabling the successful implementation of the Commission’s Digital Transformation and EU policies.

Your role:

• Definition of test plans and test cases.
• Construction of test scenarios and scripts for automated tests
• Execution of tests.
• Test coordination.
• Reporting of test results.

MANDATORY SKILLS REQUIRED:

• at least 5 years of specific expertise with writing Test Cases
• at least 5 years of specific expertise with testing IT applications
• at least 5 years of specific expertise with manual functional testing
• at least 3 years of specific expertise with SQL statements writing
• at least 3 years of specific expertise as Software Test Engineer (QA Analyst)
• at least 2 years of specific expertise with Jira
• at least 2 years of specific expertise with automated testing of IT applications (Selenium or Cucumber).
• at least 1 years of specific expertise with API testing.
• at least 1 years of specific expertise with Postman or SoapU

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:

• Knowledge of testing technologies, tools and techniques.
• Hands-on experience in the manual Testing.
• Knowledge of a Test Management Tool.
• Knowledge of a Defect Tracking tool.
• Experience in the test data preparation, preferably with SQL databases.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good redaction skills, experience in preparation of written reports.
• Capability of integration in an international/multi- cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team
• Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
