We are looking for a Principal Functional Safety Engineer:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive experience working on functional safety preferably within the automotive industry
- Practical involvment in the development of safety-critical systems.
- Proven expertise in conducting safety analysis techniques such as FMEA, FTA, DFA, and HARA.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Additional Information
Responsibilities:
- Lead and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams in implementing functional safety strategy in compliance with ISO 26262 and SOTIF
- Define and drive the safety concept, hazard analysis, risk assessment, and safety requirements engineering activities for Electric Vehicles and Autonomous Driving technologies.
- Collaborate with system architects, hardware and software engineers, and verification teams to ensure the implementation of safety mechanisms and features.
- Perform safety analyses, including FMEA, FTA, DFA, FMEDA to evaluate system safety performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Conduct safety audits, assessments, and reviews to identify potential risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in functional safety standards and technologies, providing guidance on their adoption and implementation.
- Act as the main point of contact for functional safety topics, both internally and externally, representing the company in customer meetings and industry conferences.
