We have an internal opportunity for an ISPS Administrator to join us at the Port of Tilbury on a part-time basis. You will be contracted to 21 hours per week, making up these hours between 9am-1:30pm, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) is a comprehensive set of measures to enhance the security of ships and port facilities, developed in response to the perceived threats to ships and port facilities. Reporting to the Port Facility Security Officer, and working in the Ports pass office, you will be responsible for the issuing and administration of Port passes in line with the ISPS Code.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Inspect Port pass applications against specific required criteria
  • Produce and issue Port passes
  • Complete and maintain records on the Port pass database
  • Allocate permissions to Port passes inline with specific roles and access requirements
  • Identify passes due for renewal, prepare and send out renewal letters
  • Ensure records are kept and destroyed in line with GDPR requirements
  • Produce reports for the PFSO and Chief of Police when required
  • Report to the PFSO any lost passes, fraudulent applications or unreturned passes.
  • Monitor stocks of passes and associated items to ensure required items do not run out
  • Other general administration tasks in support of the ISPS function
