Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a 2nd Line Technical Support Team Lead within the IT Service Management team of IT Services.
The 2nd Line Support team will be responsible for providing 2nd line technical support for incidents and requests, acting as service owner for specific applications, ensuring that the full lifecycle of the applications are supported, and undertaking project work in collaboration with the wider department.
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day line management of the 2nd Line Support team of engineers, acting as a point of escalation for technical queries and coordinating all activities the team is responsible for, ensuring that all processes and procedures follow best practice in line with the ITIL framework.
You should have a degree (or equivalent qualifications or relevant professional experience), ITIL foundation level certification or equivalent experience in an ITIL support environment and be able to demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development.
This is a permanent post, working hours full time (35 hours per week).
