Description:

The Trainee IT & Admin Assistant will support the IT and administrative function within the organisation. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to learn and develop skills in both information technology and office administration. The candidate will work closely with the IT manager and the administrative team to assist with daily operations, help resolve technical issues, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the organisation. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in both IT and administration. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • School or college leaver
  • Willingness to enrol in or possibly hold completion of a relevant technical course (e.g., IT support, computer science, business administration) is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of networking, hardware setup, and office management software is beneficial.

KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, software, and IT infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of office administration tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • Familiarity in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
  • Prior experience in IT or administrative roles is a plus but not required
  • Driving licence + access to a vehicle (for Wilmslow/Manchester) – not essential but would be a plus.
  • A proactive attitude with a keen interest in learning new tools and technologies.
