Overview of the role:
We are seeking an IT Support Administrator to join our Internal IT team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization’s infrastructure, providing technical support to internal users and assisting the team in various tasks.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • Preferrable to have an undergraduate degree and/or relevant certifications.
  • Willingness to learn and take ownership of laptop hardware troubleshooting, repairs, and configurations.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows/OS/X), hardware components, and peripherals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service and support to end-users.
  • Experience with firewall configurations and access control is a plus.
  • Ability to follow guidelines, protocols, and best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with customer service ticketing systems.
  • Candidates based in London with the ability to regularly commute to Canary Wharf will be favoured.

Responsibilities:

  • Hardware problem diagnosis and remediation: Diagnose and resolve hardware related issues, including laptops, peripherals, and other devices. Perform remediation where possible (e.g. BIOS upgrades, driver re-installation) and replacements as needed to minimize downtime.
  • Laptop Configuration: Configure laptops based on provided guidelines and standards, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility within the existing IT infrastructure (Microsoft Intune).
  • Supporting IT Projects: Work alongside the IT team assisting with the implementation and roll-out of internal IT projects, primarily based on Office 365 and integrations to other Napier tools (e.g. SSO set-up).
  • Internet Connection Support: Assist in troubleshooting and maintaining stable internet connectivity within the office. Collaborate with network administrators to resolve connectivity issues promptly.
  • Hardware Purchases: Collaborate with Finance team to recommend and source hardware components, ensuring compatibility, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to organizational standard.
  • Hardware Deliveries Organizing: Coordinate and manage the delivery, installation, and setup of hardware equipment, ensuring timely and efficient deployment to end users.
  • End-User Support: Provide technical assistance to end-users, both remotely and onsite, resolving hardware-related inquiries, troubleshooting problems, and offering guidance in a clear and professional manner.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory, repairs, and configurations.
  • Update documentation for hardware-related procedures and solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to address cross-functional issues, contribute to projects, and provide input on hardware-related decisions.
