The standard hours of work are based on 37.5 hours, Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities:

YOUR NEW ROLE:

We have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Analyst to join Amey’s most successful and high-profile contracts, delivering secure IT services to a major UK Central Government department in Whitehall, London. This is a permanent, Full-time role.
The purpose of the role is to work as part of a dedicated on-site team, providing system administration and 1st/2nd line support for a complex physical network and Microsoft Windows environment.
We actively encourage innovation, so this role will include evaluating and integrating new technology/equipment to improve our services. Whilst a current security clearance isn’t a pre-requisite, you will be required to obtain and then retain DV clearance.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Set up and manage user accounts, including password resets and profile configurations, while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Log, prioritize, and respond to support tickets within agreed SLA time limits across multiple channels (phone, email, in-person, and remote).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for workstations, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Install, configure, and support workstation software and hardware, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Maintain an inventory of all IT assets and manage their lifecycle from procurement to disposal.
  • Create user-friendly guides and FAQs for common technical issues to enhance staff training and support.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal knowledge bases and documentation of support processes.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on effective use of software and hardware.
  • Administration and troubleshooting of CAFM system
