Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
ArchWell Health is seeking an experienced Interface Engineer to act as our primary technical touch point for HL7, FHIR, EDI and other types of interfaces in support of integration and data collection requirements. In this role you will work closely with our clinical applications and engineering teams to design and develop applications to connect disparate systems. Using a combination of HL7, FHIR, EDI, SQL and other appropriate protocols, an ideal candidate will have worked in a small team setting supporting providers or health systems by creating new interfaces to connect their EHRs to increase interoperability.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Expertise in understanding the appropriate solutions to use when integrating systems
- Experience in EMR integrations with external devices or data sources
- Strong data skills including analysis and SQL
- Able to work effectively in a matrix environment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills with the ability to influence decision making across teams
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- 5+ years of HL7
- 3+ years EDI/API/FHIR
- 2+ years SQL
- Prior provider-side healthcare.

Responsibilities:
- Be the Expert: Serve in both a technical and consultative role in all cases where integration efforts regarding clinical data is required.
- Build the systems: In conjunction with the Engineering team, create the infrastructure required to interface and integrate with a variety of external entities
- Solve the problems: Either self-identified or brought to you by a customer, quickly triage and solve issues related to integration activities.
- Guide the reporting: Work with the Business Intelligence team to develop and deploy effective reporting solutions to provide transparency around integration KPIs.
- Partner with Stakeholders: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable interface solutions.
