Within our Technology area, the Global Service Desk Team is responsible for end user support and the delivery of end user focussed projects for the company. The Global Service Desk Team is central to the success of the organisation and works with the regional Service Desk IT teams in Asia, Europe and North America to monitor and maintain the service to ensure maximum uptime and service delivery to the business.
The IT Project Analyst provides hands on experience to support the delivery of Marex Global projects for end users, as well as providing BAU support as required to aid the Service Desk for escalations and requests.
The highly skilled IT Projects Analyst will both assist in the design and implement new strategies for the organisation to succeed as well as embedding Marex model office standards to ensure a highly efficient end user experience. Projects will need to be planned and stakeholders managed to ensure expectations are understood and met.
The role will involve travel to regional offices and out of hours work as required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience of working in the banking/finance industry is highly desirable.

The technical areas you will be expected to be competent in:

  • Microsoft O365
  • Microsoft Windows Server Systems
  • Microsoft Active Directory (DNS/DHCPs/GPOs etc.)
  • Microsoft Exchange
  • Microsoft Azure Administration
  • Powershell Scripting
  • Supporting Windows OS and desktop hardware and software
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage any sized projects and assigned resources
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure technicians and Network engineers for an efficient desktop environment
  • Excellent technical knowledge of PC and desktop hardware with hands on trouble shooting experience

Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of Project activities - working with wider Marex Technology teams to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and align with company strategy/standards
  • Implementation of end user focussed project deliverables across the Marex estate
  • Effective escalation of tickets
  • Ensure customers are dealt with professionally and efficiently
  • Working with Infrastructure and Network Teams to resolve issues accordingly
  • Knowledge sharing with other team members
  • Support of Standard Microsoft and Voice Technologies
  • Writing documentation and maintaining knowledge of new technologies and how they can help the company
  • Ensure technical skills are updated in line with company requirements

  • Supports the London IT Manager and performs duties as needed when he/she is absent or out of office.
