IT and Digital Projects Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our IT & Business Systems Team as an IT & Digital Projects Manager.
As IT and Digital Projects manager you will lead the requirements gathering, planning, co-ordination and delivery of IT and digital transformation projects that support YHA’s Business Plan.
You will work with an experienced team of internal developers, project sponsors, product owners, subject matter experts and third parties.
This is a full time role, fixed term role and can be Remote, National Office based or hybrid.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING AS IT AND DIGITAL PROJECTS MANAGER?

• ensuring that projects within the IT and Digital Transformation programme are successfully delivered
• identifying the project’s requirements and the resources needed to execute the project
• adhering to best practice project management methodology for your projects
• creating and managing a cross-functional project team, coordinating project meetings and workshops across YHA and third-party suppliers
• creating and co-ordinate all project documentation and processes, including budgets, action and issue tracking, risk identification and mitigations
• regularly communicating progress against the project plan, KPIs and budget, both formally and informally

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE OF IT AND DIGITAL PROJECTS MANAGER?

We value lived experience just as much as previous skills and knowledge. We offer a robust induction, ongoing training, and further development, however, some of our roles will have further skills requirements.

• Formal project management certification (e.g. Agile Practitioner), plus experience in successfully delivering Digital and Business Systems projects
• Expertise in successfully creating, negotiating, managing and delivering end-to-end project plans for large scale Digital and Business Systems projects
• Experience of leading and delivering complex cross-departmental projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, and managing stakeholders at all levels
