Description:
IT APPLICATIONS DESIGNER
- Hybrid up to 80% homeworking available and 20% in Stratford-upon-Avon
- A great opportunity to help design our IT applications
- Based at our Ryon Hill office with excellent facilities and surroundings
Responsibilities:
We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Applications Designer to join the Solution Design team on a permanent basis. In this role, you’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to design, prototype and guide the delivery of elegant solutions that meet the needs of the user, comply with our design principles, and fall within brand guidelines. You’ll communicate design solutions to delivery teams and stakeholders, supporting problem solving, gaining consensus, and helping to facilitate the build process. You’ll play a leading role in supporting both technical design processes and embedding the culture of good user experience, where appropriate, whilst ensuring the solution remains fit for purpose. You’ll ensure solutions meet business and system requirements and are successfully transitioned into business-as-usual.
As an IT Applications Designer, you’ll understand, evaluate and challenge IT system requirements from Subject Matter Experts and Business Analysts to ensure that they are complete and provide sufficient clarity to produce fit-for-purpose low-level solution design documents and enable accurate IT solution development estimates. You’ll outline all potential solution options and make reasoned recommendations as to the suitability of options to ensure the Solution Designers are fully prepared to enable evidence-based decisions at the relevant boards.
You’ll create, document, and maintain design collateral which meets the business objectives, align with architectural blueprints, design principles, and fall within brand guidelines and ensure designs adhere to documented design patterns and follow templates, standards and governance frameworks set out by the Solution Design function.
