Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite (coding level) is a must. Experience working with Shopify platform is strong plus.
  • Proven experience managing business applications, preferably in the consumer goods or retail sector.
  • Strong understanding of ERPs and multi-channel platforms, with the ability to implement and customize solutions.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance standards relevant to the luxury goods industry.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Applications Manager will lead the design, development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of software applications and systems that drive core business operations. This role requires robust technical expertise, including hands-on coding skills, and familiarity with various programming languages, enabling the candidate to effectively collaborate with development teams and troubleshoot complex issues. The Applications Manager will be responsible for recommending and implementing cutting-edge technology solutions tailored to business requirements, ensuring the development of seamless integration and functionalities across areas such as sales, order and inventory management, customer relationship management (CRM), and e-commerce platforms.
The ideal candidate should have proven experience managing enterprise applications, a solid grasp of software architecture, and the ability to optimize application performance. Strong communication skills, along with a deep understanding of the luxury retail sector, are essential for aligning technical solutions with strategic business goals.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES ARE – BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize ERP, WMS, OMS, POS, and e-commerce platforms, ensuring security, performance, and alignment with business objectives through automation and system monitoring.
  • Lead the technical planning, design, and deployment of new applications and system upgrades. Use version control, continuous integration, and automated testing to minimize downtime and ensure smooth transitions during system updates and implementations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, marketing, sales, finance, etc.) to gather detailed technical requirements, develop custom solutions, and implement integrations via APIs, microservices, and other middleware, optimizing operational efficiency and enhancing the customer experience.
  • Perform software testing and debugging, ensuring that applications function properly before deployment, utilizing tools for automated testing and continuous integration.
  • Ensure data integrity and security, enforcing encryption, access controls, and compliance standards, while proactively identifying vulnerabilities through regular audits.
  • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot code-level issues, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams for rapid resolution.
  • Provide technical training and support, developing documentation, scripts, and tools to improve end-user efficiency and application usability.
  • Stay updated on the latest technology trends and luxury goods market innovations, recommending new solutions that can provide a competitive edge.
