IT Applications Project Manager - Maritime Transportation

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education – Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Other Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience with BI tools and report development.Proficiency in project management tools.Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and their application to enhance business processes and analytics.Ability to apply AI/ML methodologies to optimize workflows and decision-making.Strong understanding of maritime business processes, project management practices, and quality standards.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within the maritime sector.Proven expertise in Business Application Support, BI tools, and managing small to mid-scale projects.Familiarity with fleet management systems is preferred.

• Business Application Support – Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for critical business applications. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve any application-related issues.
• Business Process Management – Evaluate and document current business processes, identifying areas for improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
• Business Requirements – Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and document digital requirements, transforming them into actionable project specifications. Ensure project objectives align with broader digital transformation goals.
• Project Management – Oversee small to mid-sized projects from initiation to completion. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to deadlines and project scope. Monitor progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Solution Delivery & Change Management – Design, develop, test, and deploy IT solutions that meet project requirements. Manage smooth implementation and ongoing support while handling stakeholder expectations through effective change management.
• Internal Stakeholder Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with application owners and IT team members. Collaborate with internal business stakeholders to identify and prioritize support needs, issues, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Vendor Management – Foster relationships with vendors and partners, handling contract negotiations, setting standards, and identifying the best vendor options.
