Description:

Bio Products Laboratory (BPL), part of Kedrion, is seeking an IT Applications Specialist to join the team in Elstree, Herts. This role involves implementing and maintaining local IT Application Systems and application-related IT Projects for the Elstree site in collaboration with various stakeholders.
This position will include a lot of liaising with internal partners including Infrastructure, Service Desk, Compliance and Management staff and external partners including software and hardware vendors, database monitoring company and software development consultancy companies.
The ideal candidate will serve as a valuable partner to different business areas, contributing to the development of projects that align with key business and IT goals.
Please note, you will not be coding or developing Apps within this role.
This role could suit a Business Analyst from a Pharma or Life Science industry with project manager experience.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead project initiation, helping develop ideas, business cases and plans for new investments.
  • Collaborate in the implementation and roll out of IT projects, ensuring they are performed on time and on budget, in line with business requirements, and in compliance with Company and Quality standards.
  • Liaising with internal including Infrastructure, Service Desk, Compliance and Management staff.
  • Liaising with external partners including software and hardware vendors, suppliers, and service organisations, database monitoring company and software development consultancy companies
  • Maintain oversight of project / solution delivery and ensure successful delivery of business benefits.
  • Manage the lifecycle of local business applications (ideation, design/selection, configuration, development, maintenance, redundancy) to continuously improve the support to business operations.
  • Collect and collaborate to document processes, business, and technical requirements to enable the assessment and delivery of requested enhancements and new implementations.
  • Collaborate in applications testing to ensure alignment to best practices and standards.
  • Collaborate with the IT Team colleagues in solving business specific issues to contribute to the achievement of department and Company KPIs and business expectations.
  • Deliver training to business users for the assigned area of competence to ensure applications are properly run.
  • Engage and coordinate consultants, external suppliers and service providers as required for the new implementation, continuous improvement, and maintenance of applications, and for troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
  • Actively engage with Global IT on Global initiatives and collaborate on their local deployment.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE TO HELP YOU WITHIN THE ROLE –

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
  • Work experience in roles such as IT Business Analyst or IT Business Partner
  • Worked in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, CPG, FMCG or other highly regulated industry is desirable
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong presentation skills, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong collaborator and teamwork skills.
  • years of relevant work experience, including systems analysis, design, implementation, and IT project management
  • Strong knowledge of the application development process and application lifecycle
  • Experience in project management including work planning and time management: ability to create/maintain work plans, monitor actuals, report status and address cost/schedule variances.
  • Strong ability to develop, document and present business documentation including Business Cases, Business Requirements and Project Plans.
