Description:

ING Luxembourg is looking for an IT Area Lead Daily Banking & Lending, who will lead a collection of different IT Teams which have the same or related purpose to take responsibility for developing, innovating and safeguarding IT knowledge in the area and ensures that teams deliver and maintain applications in order to realize ING Strategy in the field of information technology.

The IT Area Lead will report hierarchically to the IT Lead Delivery and work closely with the global teams of ING.

Mission

  • Lead the development and implementation of IT strategy for the Daily Banking & Lending area of responsibility, anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities, and ensuring integration with business strategy
  • Collaborate on development of the IT roadmap of the area and key strategic enablers, designing the IT landscape that allows new applications, products, and services to be rolled out quickly while ensuring that legacy applications and IT operations are maintained at optimal levels
  • Develop and/or deliver budget plans with guidance from senior colleagues
  • Monitor and review performance and behaviors within area of responsibility to identify and resolve non compliance with the organization IT policies and relevant regulator
  • Motivate and support the growth of all members of a mid-sized team (15-25 people) using equitable approaches to performance management and development that may be differentiated to support each employee’s unique needs and preferences in order to bring out their best and meet business needs
  • Identify shortcomings in existing IT practices, then suggest and implement improvements while developing and delivering projects or a work stream within the organization’s change management program. Involves working with guidance from senior colleagues.
  • Develop procedures and standards in order to achieve specified outputs, or advise the wider business on application of policy, then monitor implementation of those procedures within the organization.
  • Focus on innovation and improvement of IT landscape of Daily Banking & Lending Area within a high-performing-culture and an agile organization
  • Lead in detecting and analyzing IT landscape performance issues and remediate any gaps in line with the incident management procedure. Ensure that IT landscape stays within the IT Risk appetite and onboard the tooling aiming at automating the controls
  • Identify and manage stakeholders up to management level, finding out their needs/issues/concerns
  • Act as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulation and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media
  • Contribute to the development of annual and longer-term business plans; forecast performance against business key performance indicators; develop business cases for key activities/projects; and estimate the financial and human resources required to deliver performance targets
