IT Asset and Configuration Analyst

You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the IT asset and configuration management processes within the organization. This role ensures that IT assets are accurately tracked, maintained, and optimized throughout their lifecycle, and that configuration management processes are adhered to, ensuring the integrity and reliability of IT services.

WHAT SKILLS/EXPERIENCE DO I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

• Substantial experience in IT asset and configuration management;
• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices and ITIL certification;
• Experience with configuration management databases (CMDB) and IT asset management tools;
• Knowledge of software licensing and compliance.

Asset Management:

• Maintain and audit IT asset inventory.
• Track asset lifecycle and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate procurement and budgeting.

Configuration Management:

• Manage CMDB and track configuration items.
• Ensure documentation and compliance of CI changes.
• Integrate with ITSM practices.

Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement improvements.
• Develop best practices and train staff.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Generate reports and provide insights to leadership.

On-site Support:

• Provide 1st line support as needed.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with vendor contracts.
• Adapt and communicate effectively.
