BUSINESS SYSTEM ANALYST

The Business System Analyst is familiar with a wide variety of business concepts, practices, and procedures as they relate to IT, business and operations. This role conducts current-state analysis, use casing, and requirements elicitation and is capable of writing user stories as an output of these activities. The Business & System Analyst collaborates with others on system design with a focus on increasing productivity and reducing costs through process optimization.

• Works with the Product Owner to facilitate stakeholder interviews, solution workshops and analysis of business requests and requirements to generate new product backlog items
• Analyzes and documents how systems, processes, procedures and end users will be impacted by future development
• Facilitates the identification of business and IT process improvements
• Collaborates with team members to address high-priority backlog items
• Creates and/or provides input into internal and external communications and user documentation
• Supports release management and go-to-market activities as required
• Supports testing with a focus on end to end validation
• Understands organizational governance processes and supports the team in ensuring that these processes are engaged appropriately
