Description:

USALCO LLC is a major unit within the manufacturing network of a leading provider of aluminum-based component products used in water treatment, pulp and paper manufacturing, the making of catalysts for oil refining, the housing market and other sectors. The right individual will have a can-do attitude, the ability to be part of a team while operating independently, and consistently performs to very high standards.

JOB SUMMARY

The IT/Business Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role will coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The IT/Business Project Manager will also define the projects objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure that project deliverables meet their expectations.
  • Resource Allocation: Identify and manage project dependencies, critical path items, and allocate resources effectively to ensure project success.
  • Risk Management: Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Budget Management: Track project costs and manage the project budget, ensuring that expenditures are within the approved budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget, and meet the required quality standards.
  • Reporting: Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders, including status reports, risk assessments, and project metrics.

EDUCATION:

Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in IT and business environments.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel 10-20% as needed.
